CEO

Sam Tidwell began his construction career working summers for his father, John Tidwell. By 2008, he advanced from helper to apprentice, learning the tools and techniques of the trade. In 2010, he enrolled at Gwinnett Technical College, earning an associate degree in Residential Construction Management in 2012.

After graduating, Sam joined a large remodeling company specializing in exterior renovations, where he progressed from Apprentice Carpenter to Project Manager. In 2015, he became a licensed Residential Contractor and returned to his father’s company, helping expand its focus on fine finishes from 2016 to 2021.

In 2021, Sam joined his brother, Garrett, in his entrepreneurial endeavor, helping to establish the foundation of Good Morning Remodel with a focus on quality craftsmanship and expertise.

Project Manager, Residential Carpenter

Jay started his carpentry story as soon as he could pick up a hammer. In high school, he would make custom wood projects for friends, neighbors, and more. His family has been close with the Tidwells his whole life.

He worked for John Tidwell and Sons in the summers during high school and college. He gained the reputation of precision work, detailed planning, logical problem-solving, and accuracy with everything.

He graduated in 2019 from the University of North Georgia with a Bachelors degree in Physical Education and a minor in leadership. He commissioned into the Army National Guard as a Logistician. In his free time, he likes to rock climb and camp in the mountains.

Residential Carpenter

Jesus Sotelo began his career in new construction framing at the age of 19, working extensively throughout the outer Atlanta area for approximately five years. In mid-2022, he transitioned into the landscaping and hardscape sector, primarily handling commercial projects for Chick-fil-A across the southeastern United States. His responsibilities included irrigation, sod installation, planting, paver installation, and constructing retaining walls.

Claire helps keep our office organized and projects running smoothly by managing scheduling, customer communication, and day-to-day operations. Whether she’s coordinating appointments or supporting the team behind the scenes, Claire is a reliable point of contact for both clients and colleagues.

She’s always had a passion for keeping things efficient and organized—and being part of a team that transforms homes is a bonus! Outside of work, Claire enjoys hiking and visiting national parks with her family. She also loves puzzles and listening to audiobooks.

Office Manager

Katie helps keep things organized and flowing behind the scenes. She manages the website and social media pages, supports the team wherever needed, and is dedicated to ensuring homeowners feel informed and cared for at every stage of the remodeling process.

Katie graduated from the University of Georgia and enjoys reading, spending time outdoors with her family, and relaxing at the lake whenever she can.
