Garrett and Sam own and operate Good Morning Remodel together. With a combined 25 years of on site construction experience they aim to bring every client the home of their dreams. Good Morning Remodel was founded in 2021 by Garrett who then partnered with Sam later that year. The business started out working for investors who were flipping homes to then rent. GMR quickly found that the investors were looking for a quick fix and were not interested in achieving the quality of work that GMR  was accustomed to offering. Within months of starting the company, GMR moved away from working with investors and started building exterior remodel projects such as garages, sheds, porch roofs, decks and screen rooms.

Sam Tidwell

Sam Tidwell started gaining experience in the construction field under the tutelage of his father, John Tidwell. Over the summers of his teenage years Sam would work for John as a helper.

After a few years of being a helper (2008), Sam found himself in an apprentice roll where he was being taught how to use the tools of the trade and the building practices needed to be a carpenter.

In 2010 Sam started his education at Gwinnett Technical College in the Residential Construction Management program where he graduated (2012) with an Associates Degree in Residential Construction Management.

After obtaining his degree, Sam went to work for a large remodel company that focused solely on exterior remodeling and replacement, where he discovered a passion for the exterior side of residential construction. There, Sam worked his way up from Apprentice Carpenter through Lead Carpenter and onto Project Manager. Once Sam had achieved his necessary work experience he decided to go back to work with his father (2016).

In 2015, Sam took and passed the test to become a licensed Residential Contractor, and the following year joined his fathers company once again.

From 2016 – 2021 Sam worked with John Tidwell and Sons to build a remodel company that specialized in all fine finishes.

In 2021, Garrett asked Sam to join him in his entrepreneurial endeavor and together they have built Good Morning Remodel.

Garrett Tidwell

Garrett Tidwell started his remodeling career in 2015, with John Tidwell and Sons. Working closely with Sam and their older brother Jonathan and father John allowed Garrett to fill the roll of Apprentice quickly. Over the next few years Garrett really started to hone in on framing and trim carpentry.

Garrett has experience in every major step of the construction process. Concrete and foundations, framing and exterior finishes, insulation and drywall, trim carpentry and painting. He also has experience in the commercial and residential electrical sector.

In 2020 Garrett turned his sights to the electrical side of construction, using his working knowledge of construction sites and practices he fit right in with the commercial electrical crews. Although Garrett enjoyed electrical work itself, the travel and time away from home brought Garrett back to residential remodeling.

In 2021 Garrett decided to start his own remodel company, Good Morning Remodel. In that very same year Garrett and Sam became partners of Good Morning Remodel and have been successful in completing remodels ranging from $1,000 all the way up to $175,000.

Garrett is starting his 9th year in the construction field in 2024.
