Residential Carpenter
Job Summary:
As a Residential Carpenter, you will be responsible for executing a variety of skilled carpentry tasks related to residential remodeling projects. Your role involves interpreting blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, installing structures and fixtures, and ensuring high-quality craftsmanship. The Residential Carpenter plays a crucial part in delivering exceptional results, meeting project deadlines, and contributing to overall customer satisfaction. You will contribute to the company’s reputation for high-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpretation of Blueprints:Study and interpret construction plans and specifications to understand project requirements. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate execution of design plans.
- Carpentry Tasks:Perform skilled carpentry work, including framing, finishing, trim work, and custom installations. Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials according to project requirements.
- Structural Installations:Install and assemble frameworks, structures, and fixtures, such as windows, doors, cabinets, and built-in furniture. Ensure precision and attention to detail in all installations to meet quality standards.
- Material Selection and Procurement:Assist in the selection and procurement of materials, ensuring the availability of the required resources. Collaborate with the project team to recommend suitable materials for specific tasks.
- Safety Compliance:Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations, ensuring a secure work environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and implement safe work practices.
- Project Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including project managers, subcontractors, and fellow carpenters, to ensure project goals are met. Communicate effectively to coordinate tasks and address project requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail throughout all phases of the project. Conduct inspections to ensure work meets project specifications and industry standards.
- Client Interaction:Interact professionally with clients, addressing questions and concerns. Provide updates on project progress and ensure customer satisfaction with the completed work.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a residential carpenter.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of various carpentry techniques and materials.
- Excellent precision and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor and work in various residential construction environments.
Compensation:
The base pay for this position is $20 per hour. This rate is subject to increase based on demonstrated experience, performance evaluations, and longevity with the company.
